Thrown release official music video for “rehearsed”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 19.6.2026

Thrown, a Swedish nu metalcore band, released a brand-new song titled “rehearsed“, as per theprp. This cut’s production, mixing, and mastering were, predictably, handled by the band’s own Buster Odeholm (Vildhjarta & Humanity’s Last Breath). Pavel Trebukhin (Imminence, Gaerea) was the director of the music video. The dates for Thrown‘s headline tour in Europe and the UK this autumn alongside Counterparts, No Cure, and Heavensgate were revealed earlier this month.

In 2019, guitarist Andreas Malm and vocalist Marcus Lundqvist decided to explore new things and make their band more contemporary than their previous one. They reached out to Buster Odeholm, the multi-instrumentalist for Humanity’s Last Breath and drummer for Vildhjärta. Although Buster ended up being their drummer, Marcus and Andreas had originally intended for him to be their producer. At last, they asked Johan Liljeblad, a substitute guitarist for Marcus and Andreas’s former band, if he would want to participate, and he agreed. The band wrote a lot of songs for Thrown when they were under quarantine.

The band went on tour with Counterparts in 2022 after releasing their debut EP, “Extended Pain”, which included the three earlier hits. In addition to releasing songs, the band travelled with Fit for a King and Invent Animate in 2023. In 2024, they will tour with SpiteAlpha Wolf, and While She Sleeps. In addition to these tours, they have backed August Burns RedKnocked Loose, and Architects, albeit only for a few performances rather than an entire tour. The band’s first studio album, “Excessive Guilt”, was released on August 30.
