The gates are open. Copenhell 2026 kicked off on a sold-out Wednesday at the old shipyard of Refshaleøen and the crowd was ready for blood.
The atmosphere was electric from the first riff. Smoke, leather, and the unmistakable buzz of thousands of metalheads gathering in the Danish summer sun set the tone early.
The evening belonged to one band: Iron Maiden. Taking the stage at 9 PM on their Run For Your Lives tour, the British legends tore through their classic early catalog with a ferocity that made clear after 50 years they have absolutely nothing to prove and everything to give. Bruce Dickinson owned the stage. The crowd never stopped moving.
