UK progressive metal masters Threshold recently announced their twelfth studio album “Dividing Lines” to be released on November 18, via Nuclear Blast.
They have revealed the second single from the album, “King Of Nothing“, alongside a lyric video.
Glynn Morgan comments on the song:
“It’s about moving on, accepting defeat and just moving on, instead of spending the rest of your life blaming yourself or whoever for things not going the way you´d hoped. As hard as it may seem, don’t give up, just press reset, smile! grab your dreams and start over again, be the King of your own destiny!
‘King of Nothing‘ is the first single I have written for Threshold since ‘Innocent´ back in 1994 during my first stint with the band, and it feels awesome and exciting to have one of my songs chosen for release as a single from the new album ‘Dividing Lines’.”

Founded by guitarist Karl Groom in southern England in 1988, Threshold were a unique proposition from the start. Driven forward by youthful confidence and verve, they swiftly became the UK’s premier purveyors of adventurous and progressive metal and have remained at the top of that tree for the best part of three decades. From early albums like “Wounded Land” (1993) and “Psychedelicatessen” (1994) through to more recent triumphs like 2014’s acclaimed “For The Journey” and “Legend of the Shires” (2017) the band’s reputation has been built upon the sheer strength of their songwriting, collective chemistry and fervent disregard for following passing trends. As a result, Threshold are as revered and respected as they have ever been.
