Spanish nu metalcore/alternative hardcore outfit Threats has shared a new single entitled “D.H.A (Dreamer Here, Awake)“. Watch the Alejandro Rodríguez-directed official video below.

The Madrid-born group states: “‘D.H.A’ depicts the decline of the world. The song is a heartbreaking cry for the anesthetized masses. “Dreamer here awake!”, like a mentalist trying to break the mass hypnosis.

The production combines extremely low chords with baritone guitars, multiple effects, layers of synths, punchy bass, percussive drums, and carefully crafted vocals, creating varied textures. This new production has powerful nu metal, hardcore, and thrash influences.

Threats is a nu metal/metalcore band formed in Madrid in 2020, blending powerful riffs, dark atmospheres, and intense vocals. Their sound draws inspiration from bands like Stray From The Path, Dealer, and Thrown, aiming to resonate with contemporary metal fans who appreciate both raw energy and meticulous production.

The band uses classic elements of nu metal and shoegaze in their production, combined with modern elements typical of metalcore. They alternate groove with ambient moments and heavy breakdowns. As a result, they create dynamic and elaborate compositions while keeping focus on the performance that accompanies their live music.
