This year’s edition of C.Y. Fest has been officially cancelled

The 2026 ‘C.Y. Fest’ has been virtually canceled following some controversy, as per theprp. Initial troubles arose when the festival’s founder, Ignacio “Nacho Corrupted” Rodriguera, was accused of sexual assault and misbehavior. As the claims grew, a number of musicians began to leave the event. Rodriguera later denied the charges, claiming they were “false” and “misinformation”. He stated that he would handle the claims through the correct legal processes.

Rodriguera stepped down from running the festival at the recommendation of Tankcrimes owner Scotty Heath, as the event was on the verge of failure. Heath initially stated that he had no prior knowledge of Rodriguera and had cold-called him in an attempt to save the event for the benefit of the bands and fans. However, only a day after announcing his new role as the festival’s new organizer, Heath withdrew, citing that the venue would now be in charge of monitoring the event.

There’s just too many questions came in from you guys that I don’t have the answers for, so I just felt like I was in over my head. I really… I did make a solid attempt, but I think I rushed the announcement. It was less than 30 hours after I’d done it, and everything happened pretty spontaneously, and I was just trying to get out there so quick, because the fest is coming up so soon, so I have bowed out of that, and I’ve the venues are still running the fest.

They have very competent staff and in-house people that will be doing that. But because there’s so many unanswered questions that I don’t have the answers for. I can’t do it.

That change occurred on March 18th, and the event has now been canceled entirely. A recent post on the festival’s Instagram story says as follows.
