This is not a prank: Fred Durst becomes Gary and chats with a goblin

Using the alias Gary, Fred Durst has made appearance on a goblin-hosted podcast. On the Right Now podcast, the Limp Bizkit singer adopts a new role as a performance artist who paints teabags. John Goblikon, the lead singer of the American melodeath group Nekrogoblikon, hosts this. Throughout the episode, “Gary” and Goblikon engage in a wide-ranging, pointless conversation. They talk about “Gary’s” line of work and why the sky is “a warm blanket of tears” before spending thirty minutes imagining the songs for an album they will never produce. At best, any allusions to Limp Bizkit are flimsy, like when “Gary” refers to Fred Durst as a “d-bag” and labels “Chocolate Starfish” a “terrible title.” The Limp Bizkit singer’s recent bizarre media appearances include this non-interview. He worked with platinum-certified rapper Alligatoah on the German-language hit “So Raus” in December. Then, donning shades and a hi-vis jacket, he made an appearance in a music video by shoegazers Diiv in February, when he rants about hot dogs and frogs. Limp Bizkit‘s return to the UK and Ireland next year was announced a month before to the podcast appearance. The Loserville package, which toured North America in 2024, is being brought abroad by the giants of nu metal. Punk singer-songwriter Karen Dió, synthwave artist N8noface, genre-hopping nugen pioneer Ecca Vandal, dark trap rapper Bones, and Texas rapper Riff Raff will provide support. Limp Bizkit will play a number of North American shows with Metallica in the spring before the Loserville UK/Ireland dates. The band recently announced that they are returning to the studio, which means the follow-up to their 2021 album “Still Sucks”, on top of all the live action. Nekrogoblikon‘s most recent album, “The Fundamental Slimes And Humours”, was published in 2022. The band will tour Australia in February and March, and they have two US tour dates scheduled for December.
