In the heavy metal world there are so many artists that I admire and I look to when it comes to inspiration. The thing is, some of them are perceived by me as inarrivable and completely out of reach, while instead the artist that I’m going to talk about today is one of the few that I’ve felt as completely relatable. I’m talking about RØRY, a British sensation that is about to release her debut album “Restoration”.
The power, the strenth and the courage that are in this album are at extremely high level, that is something not common for an artist nowadays. It’s very easy to feel whatever feeling she is trying to deliver because she has such a genuine way of speaking directly to the heart of the listener. From the delicatness of “Sherlock Holmes” to the force of “if pain could talk, what would it say” or “SORRY I’M LATE” the range shown in “Restoration” is remarkable.
Not only RØRY is skilled and talented, she also poses interesting and thought-provoking questions, such as “When did war become an universal language?” or “Why is the suicide rate so high for people under 35?“. An artist that can make both feel and reflect with music is someone that is definitely worth checking out.
With a tour in the UK in the month of March, I’m quite confident that RØRY will conquer even more people, spreading her messages and her music further than before. Her dedication to the craft and to giving voice to the outsiders is an outstanding prerogative that sets her apart from all the other modern metal artists.
So mark your calendars on January 31st, and be sure to give at least one spin to the “Restoration of RØRY“. You will find that deep down, we’re all the same, we’re all struggling together, but there is a voice that is going to guide us to a safe haven. RØRY‘s going to be our anchor to the shore!
