The Rolling Stones have released their rocking new single “Angry“. The outing comes alongside the details of their highly anticipated new album, “Hackney Diamonds”, out on October 20. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood were part of a special media launch event at the Hackney Empire, East London’s epicenter of pioneering art for over 100 years. The event was hosted by American TV star Jimmy Fallon and live streamed via YouTube.
The album was recorded in different locations around the world, including Henson Recording Studios, Los Angeles; Metropolis Studios, London; Sanctuary Studios, Nassau, Bahamas; Electric Lady Studios, New York; and The Hit Factory/Germano Studios, also in New York.
“Hackney Diamonds” is the band’s first collaboration with New York-born producer and musician Andrew Watt, who was considered “Producer Of The Year” at the 2021 Grammy Awards. He has worked with artists like Post Malone, Iggy Pop and Elton John.
The new single “Angry” is accompanied by a music video directed by Francois Rousselet, who has worked with Pharrell Williams, and on The Rolling Stones‘ “Ride ‘Em On Down“, from “Blue & Lonesome”. The new music video stars Emmy-nominated actress Sydney Sweeney.
The artwork for “Hackney Diamonds” is by digital animator Paulina Almira.
