British rock legends The Rolling Stones have confirmed that The Beatles‘ Paul McCartney makes a guest appearance on the band’s upcoming album.
While there were rumors that both surviving members of the Beatles – McCartney and Ringo Starr – would play on a Stones record slated for release later this year, a representative for the Stones clarified to The Guardian that McCartney plays bass on one new song and that Starr has not been collaborating with the band.
On the other hand, in an email to CNN on Wednesday, The Rolling Stones representative said that McCartney, 80, plays bass “only on one RS track”.
The Rolling Stones‘ upcoming album will be the first since their drummer, Charlie Watts, died in 2021.
