The Offspring announce temporary lineup change

Author Benedetta Baldin - 21.10.2026

The Offspring announce a temporary change in their lineup. One of the members is stepping away from live performances.

It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue.
The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart.
Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.
– Noodles

The Offspring is an American rock ensemble established in Garden Grove, California, in 1984. The current lineup comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland, lead guitarist Noodles, bassist Todd Morse, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy, and drummer Brandon Pertzborn.

The band significantly contributed to the resurgence of mainstream interest in punk rock during the 1990s. They have sold over 45 million records, positioning themselves among the genre’s top-selling acts.

The Offspring garnered a local following through their initial releases, notably the 1989 album “The Offspring” and the seven-inch EP “Baghdad” (1991). Subsequently, they signed with the independent label Epitaph Records and produced two albums: “Ignition” (1992) and “Smash” (1994).

“Smash”, featuring the band’s first major hit “Come Out and Play,” stands as one of the highest-selling albums from an independent record label, with over 11 million copies sold globally. This success played a pivotal role in advancing punk rock into the mainstream.
