The most anticipated Finnish rock and metal albums of 2025 – what will the next year bring us?

It’s time again to look at what albums the coming year will bring or might bring. Surprisingly many artists’ albums planned for 2024 seem to have been pushed to 2025, so several interesting records are coming out. Chaoszine listed for its readers Finnish albums to look forward to:

Auri

The rock band Auri, led by Nightwish keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, started recording their third album in autumn. The new record could be expected to be completed during summer, as the band embarks on their first tour in August.

Battle Beast

Battle Beast‘s vocalist Noora Louhimo has stated the band is working on a new album. No exact release date has been announced, but 2025 seems possible.

Beast In Black

Release: 2025?

Beast In Black‘s Anton Kabanen hasn’t mentioned any deadline for the band’s upcoming album in interviews, but one is in the works. Perhaps we’ll hear more about the album in 2025.

Bloodred Hourglass

Release: 2025

Bloodred Hourglass is currently working on a new album, planned for release in late 2025. New music will likely be heard during spring.

Dawn Of Solace

Marko Hietala

Moonsorrow

Moonsorrow‘s previous album “Jumalten Aika” was released in 2016. The band has stated they’re working on new material, so perhaps we’ll finally hear it in 2025.

Nicole

Nicole announced in 2023 that they had begun recording “Entropia” and have already released singles from it. The album was meant to be released during 2024, but perhaps its time will come in 2025?

Omnium Gatherum

Omnium Gatherum has announced they’re taking a concert break in summer 2024 to work on their upcoming album. The new album might be completed during 2025.

Ruoska

Industrial metal band Ruoska released a couple of singles in 2022, when a new album was also expected. However, it wasn’t released then, so maybe the band will manage to do it in 2025.

Sara

Release: January 17, 2025

Sara will release their tenth album “Hallava” on January 17. The band will tour Finland extensively in support of their new album.

Voidfallen

Album title: “The Rituals of Resilience”
Release: January 24, 2025

Melodeath band Voidfallen will release their second full-length “The Rituals of Resilience” on January 24 via Noble Demon Records.

Wintersun

Release: 2025?

Wintersun released their long-awaited “Time II” album in 2024. Jari Mäenpää revealed that material has already been completed for future albums as well, one of which is almost finished. Mäenpää didn’t announce a release schedule. Could the album be completed in 2025?
