The Haunted release new single “In Fire Reborn” from upcoming album “Songs of Last Resort”

Swedish thrash metal pioneers The Haunted continue promoting their upcoming tenth studio album “Songs of Last Resort,” set for worldwide release on May 30th, 2025 via their longtime partner Century Media Records.

Today, the band unleashes a relentless new single titled “In Fire Reborn,” accompanied by a video directed by Patric Ullaeus / rEvolver.se (known for work with In Flames, Arch Enemy, and Dimmu Borgir). The video can be viewed here:

The Haunted vocalist Marco Aro comments on “In Fire Reborn“:

“This is the second single off our upcoming album ‘Songs of Last Resort.’ The song is called ‘In Fire Reborn’ and it’s a more classic THE HAUNTED sounding track with the aggression turned up to 11… just in case you missed the memo on our previous single!”

Guitarist Jensen adds:

“This is a classic THE HAUNTED song in 6/8 time signature. I wrote the introduction, verses and ending, but it wasn’t until Jonas wrote the chorus that ‘In Fire Reborn’ truly blossomed. I believe this could easily become a fan favorite, just as it has become one of the band’s favorite tracks on the album. The lyrics, like ‘Warhead,’ deal with the topic of war, but this time from a soldier’s perspective.”

The music for “Songs of Last Resort” was recorded by Oscar Nilsson at Studio Bohus, with main vocals recorded by Björn Strid at The Cellar Studio. The album was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (known for work with Kreator, Arch Enemy, and Sepultura). Artwork was once again provided by longtime visual collaborator Andreas “Diaz” Pettersson.
