The Fear Factory feud continues – Dino Cazares trolls former bandmates online
Author Benedetta Baldin - 9.9.2026
Fear Factory has a lengthy history of heated internal fights, several of which have ended up in court, as per theprp. Therefore, when Christian Olde Wolbers, the band’s former bassist and vocalist, revealed his new project, Angst Fabrik, back in 2025, it wasn’t totally shocking. Since that moniker translates to “Fear Factory” from German to English, many have speculated that Wolbers is looking to start a competing group of some kind. Wolbers furthered that impression this past Monday, September 7, by showing footage of former Fear Factory drummer Raymond Herrera back behind the drum kit in a studio for the first time in about 16 years. It is believed that Herrera was recording drums for Angst Fabrik‘s upcoming songs.
Currently, Fear Factory‘s rights are legally owned by guitarist Dino Cazares, who has recreated the band in recent years after frontman Burton C. Bell’s painful exit in 2020. In the spring of 2025, Bell appeared to disassociate himself from Angst Fabrik. The irony of Wolbers’ new band’s chosen name was also earlier noted by Cazares. Now in a new video, Cazares has mocked the aforementioned reveal of Herrera behind the kit.
After 16 long years Dino is back on the kit and he’s playing the most difficult insane Fear Factory drum beat ever. 4 on the floor insane kick pattern.
We put some synthetic oil on his knees and he’s as good as new.
