American deathcore phenomenon Lorna Shore played a sold-out show at the Helsinki Ice Hall on February 21st – marking the largest headline show of their career to date, as well as the biggest show of their entire European tour. Their dark, symphonic deathcore sound continues to resonate deeply with Finnish audiences, further cementing the band’s rapidly growing popularity in the region. Their latest album, “I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me” has received widespread acclaim across metal medias worldwide.
Around the show, Chaoszine had the rare opportunity to sit down with guitarist Andrew O’Connor for an in-depth video interview. In the conversation, O’Connor opens up about his journey as a guitarist from his early influences to the present day, revealing that Children Of Bodom’s late frontman Alexi Laiho was his first major guitar hero. The interview also dives into Lorna Shore’s signature symphonic deathcore sound, with O’Connor responsible for the orchestration – drawing strong inspiration from Finnish metal acts such as Wintersun and Nightwish.
