Some can label this iconic band as “goth rock”, but The Cure is definitely much more than that. After decades of genre-bending musicianship, one genre isn’t enough. On the 6th of December, Roberth Smith together with Simon Gallup, Roger O’Donnell, Perry Bamonte, Jason Cooper and Reeves Gabrels showed Leeds that The Cure is here to stay, especially after hearing their new songs. Their older tunes made the whole Arena gasp in thrilling excitement. Songs like “Lovesong“, “Burn“, “A Forest” and “Lullaby” inspired generations of artists of many different areas. Many bands, artists, fashion designers, photographers, etc name The Cure as one of the main inspirations of their art and creativity. That’s one hell of a legacy, and their incredible performance in Leeds is just one small example of their greatness. We hope to see and hear more from this legendary band!
