US melodic death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder is facing another line-up change. Guitarist Brandon Ellis has announced his departure and the band’s upcoming South American tour will be delayed due to the health problems of singer Brian Eschbach.
Ellis, who joined the band in 2016, thanked fans for their support and expressed his gratitude for his nine years with the band. He said he was proud of his contribution to the band’s legacy and all they have achieved together.
Eschbach, for his part, regretted the postponement of the tour and said he needed time to focus on his health. He mentioned that the last four years have been intense both in the world and in the band. The tour has been postponed until December 2025, when Gatecreeper will join.
The band has faced challenges in the past. In 2022, the band lost their original singer Trevor Strnad after his death. Eschbach then switched from guitar to vocals and former guitarist Ryan Knight returned to the band. The new line-up released the album “Servitude” in 2024 and has been touring actively.
