The South African gothic rock band The Awakening, currently touring Europe and the US as part of their “Haunting Tour 2025”, has cancelled their concert on 1 November 2025 in the German city of Stuttgart:
“We have just heard that the Stuttgart show has to be cancelled due to a public holiday on that day. Certain restrictions are in place which prevent concerts and similar events on that day, and the promoters do not have permission to proceed. This is the ONLY SHOW affected by this, and all other dates remain as advertised. Refunds for the Stuttgart show will be available from the point of sale. See you all on the Haunting Tour soon!”

Furthermore, The Awakening welcome a new bassist:
“Please welcome Alex Crescioni to The Awakening! With Ashes back at his full-time job with Wednesday 13, Alex will be joining us on bass and making his debut appearance at Lodge Room, Los Angeles, next month for the start of Glōm Fest and the Haunting Tour Part II.”

Alex Crescioni adds:
“About four months ago, I had a lovely podcast chat with the Gothic/Darkwave South African artist Ashton Nyte of The Awakening. I had been a fan of his intoxicating baritone vocals and songwriting for a while and was thrilled to pick his brain a bit. Most of the time the phrase ‘If you need anything, let me know’ leads to nothing. Although this time around, it led to an excellent opportunity. Never be afraid to put yourself out there, but make sure you are ready to deliver the goods. A thousand rejections, and one YES…is still a yes. See you out there. Feel free to check out our conversation on my YouTube channel.”
