It appears that an Australian tour with Armenian-American nu metal megastars System of A Down will be part of Faith No More‘s 2027 reunion plans, as per theprp. The video that Wall Of Sound posted below shows a projected advertisement that appears in Brisbane, Australia, and appears to promote a combined tour by both bands. Unexpectedly, Faith No More announced their most recent comeback in June of last year. They had previously failed again in 2021 due to a falling out with its lead singer, Mike Patton. These problems have subsequently been fixed, and the renowned group is slated to embark on a lengthy tour in the upcoming year; further information is still awaited.

In 1994, the Armenian-American heavy metal group System of a Down was founded in Glendale, California. Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Shavo Odadjian (bass), and John Dolmayan (drums), who took Andy Khachaturian’s position, have been the band’s original members since 1997. Three of the band’s five studio albums debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, demonstrating their commercial success. In addition to receiving four Grammy Award nominations, System of a Down‘s song “B.Y.O.B.” took home the Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy in 2006.
Many of their songs tackle social and political topics, such as the anti-war message in “B.Y.O.B.” and the critique of the prison industrial complex and the war on drugs in “Prison Song.” They are well-known for their politically charged lyrics. After taking a break in 2006, the band got back together in 2010. System of a Down hasn’t put out any new music since the “Mezmerize” and “Hypnotize” albums in 2005, with the exception of two new tracks in 2020 (“Protect the Land” and “Genocidal Humanoidz“). Two of the band’s hits, “Aerials” and “Hypnotise,” peaked at number one on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart, and the group has sold over 12 million albums worldwide. Every member of System of a Down has Armenian ancestry, whether they were born to Armenian immigrants or immigrants themselves.
