Staind to headline Rock The Country festival’s stop in South Dakota replacing Jelly Roll with a price change for tickets

Staind has been confirmed as the main act for the contentious “Rock The Country” festival’s Sioux Falls, SD stop, as per theprp. On June 28, the second date of the festival’s visit to that city, the multi-platinum alternative metal band will take Jelly Roll‘s place at the top of the bill. The “Rock The Country” festival, which is frequently referred to as a “MAGA fest,” has long been controversial due to its close ties to conservative ideals and performers that support right-wing politics. Up till now, Kid Rock, a conservative rap-rock/country musician, has been the festival’s staple headlining act. The lineups mostly appeal to hard rock and country music lovers.

Aaron Lewis, their frontman, is a vocal supporter of conservative politics. Additionally, he and his solo band, The Stateliners, have already been scheduled to perform at the May 2nd stop in Bellville, Texas. The aforementioned festival tour has reduced ticket prices by up to 50% in a temporary promotional effort, in addition to the previously announced headliner swap. The festival’s organizers insist that the price reduction was made to compensate guests for rising fuel costs, but detractors claim it was actually done to make up for slow ticket sales.

Confirmed stops:

  • 05/01-02 Bellville, TX – Austin County Fairgrounds
  • 05/29-30 Bloomingdale, GA – Ottawa Farms
  • 06/27-28 Sioux Falls, SD – W.H. Fairgrounds
  • 07/10-11 Ashland, KY – Boyd County Fairgrounds
  • 08/08-09 Hastings, MI – Barry Expo Center
  • 08/28-29 Ocala, FL – Florida Horsepark
  • 09/11-12 Hamburg, NY – Erie County Fairgrounds

Creed and Shinedown were supposed to headline the festival’s July 25–26 run in Anderson, South Carolina, however since announcing its 2026 iteration, it has been forced to cancel. It appears that Shinedown‘s withdrawal from the bill prompted that cancellation. The radio rock kingpins faced intense criticism from fans for agreeing to perform at that festival, which led to their resignation.
