Slipknot‘s latest album “The End, So Far” debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 59,000 equivalent album units earned, which means 50,500 actual album sales, 8,000 streaming equivalent albums (about 11 million streams), and 500 track equivalent albums. Translating: one equivalent unit equals “one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.”

As far as heavy music goes, Slipknot were only behind Sweden’s Ghost, with their latest album “Impera”, which came in at No. 2 the week of its release with 70,000 equivalent album units earned.
