Slipknot officially confirms new drummer Eloy Casagrande

US metal titans Slipknot have officially announced Eloy Casagrande as their new drummer.

Putting an end to all speculation, The Corey Taylor-fronted outfit has now officially confirmed that the man behind the mask is none other than the Brazilian percussionist and former Sepultura drummer, Eloy Casagrande. The group’s announcement is the first official confirmation of the personnel change.

The news comes as the band is in the midst of a huge wave of activity – recently confirming a special 25th-anniversary celebration in their hometown of Des Moines for Knotfest Iowa and setting the dates for the North American leg of their Here Comes the Pain tour with special guests Knocked Loose.
