Sleater-Kinney announce new album “Little Rope”, drops first single “Hell”

US rock band Sleater-Kinney has announced their eleventh studio album “Little Rope”, set for release on January 19, 2024, via Loma Vista Recordings. The legendary alternative duo – Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein– also shared the video for the first single “Hell”, which can be seen below.

The clip was directed by Ashley Connor and includes a cameo from Miranda July. Recorded at Flora Recording and Playback in Portland, Oregon with Grammy-winning producer John Congleton, “Little Rope” was partly inspired by the deaths of Brownstein’s mother and stepfather while on holiday in Italy.

The new LP will be Sleater-Kinney‘s 11th in their storied career. It will also be the group’s second release without longtime drummer Janet Weiss, who left the band after 2019’s “The Center Won’t Hold”. Pre-order “Little Rope” here.

The alt-rock duo has also announced a North American tour in 2024, kicking off in San Diego on February 28 and including multi-night dates in New York, San Francisco and Portland.
