The Russian deathcore group Slaughter to Prevail was founded in Yekaterinburg in 2014 and is presently headquartered in Orlando, Florida, in the United States. With the exception of British musician Jack Simmons (lead guitar) and Russian musician Alex Terrible (lead vocals), the band’s lineup has changed frequently over the years. Russian musicians Evgeny Novikov (drums), Mike Petrov (bass), and Dmitry Mamedov (rhythm guitar) are now in the lineup. The band’s first studio album, “Misery Sermon”, was released in 2017 after the EP “Chapters of Misery” was released in 2015. “Kostolom”, their second studio album, came out in 2021. “Grizzly”, their third and most latest studio album, was released on July 18, 2025. They have performed all across the Americas, Europe, and Asia and are contracted to Sumerian Records.
While Alex Terrible (Aleksandr Shikolay) had developed a cult following online for his vocal covers on YouTube, Jack Simmons was a member of the London-based deathcore group Acrania.
