Lou Koller, vocalist of New York hardcore legends Sick of It All, has shared a new video message after completing his final chemotherapy treatment for an esophageal tumor. “Last day of chemo. This is it. Thanks for all your support. I’m doing pretty good. Gonna deal with this stuff, be sick for about a week and a half, and then start the healing. Gotta get my voice and body back in shape,” Koller stated.

In an accompanying message, Koller detailed his ongoing recovery challenges, including numbness in his extremities and altered taste sensations, noting that recovery varies for each individual.

A benefit concert titled “I’m In The Fight With Lou” was held on November 23, 2024, at Irving Plaza in New York City, featuring performances by Vision of Disorder, Life of Agony, Municipal Waste, Killing Time, and Crown of Thornz. The event marked Vision of Disorder‘s first performance since 2018.

Following Lou’s cancer diagnosis announcement in June 2024, his brother Pete, Sick of It All‘s guitarist, established a GoFundMe campaign that has raised over $300,000. Notable contributors include AFI, Rancid, and Dropkick Murphys, each donating $5,000.
