In the past, Sharon Osbourne employed some crazy methods to prevent Ozzy from using narcotics and drinking alcohol, as per Loudwire. Ozzy battled substance abuse for a large portion of his life before he eventually got clean in 2014. In an interview with Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast, Sharon talked about some of the drastic steps she took to attempt to stop him from drinking and doing drugs. In a video tape that Bunnie Xo cited, Sharon acknowledged encouraging Kelly to urinate in one of Ozzy‘s marijuana bags when she was younger. Sharon said, “Or Jack, it didn’t matter to me,” adding that she would add her children’s excrement to “anything” she discovered that she didn’t want her husband to take.
He used to hide booze in the oven because I don’t cook so he knew I’d never open the oven. So there would be bottles in there. I would rub it in the baby’s diaper.
Because of the physiological implications, Sharon noted that it can be challenging to try to talk someone with an addiction off of taking drugs or alcohol. Therefore, she believed that the only way to stop Ozzy from utilizing the drugs was to contaminate them.
As a younger woman I thought, This will stop him, it smells like shit! He ain’t gonna drink that!
It was a success because Ozzy apparently puked from the stench when he tried to sip one of the bottles.
