Shadows Fall reveal special show to celebrate their 30th anniversary

Author Benedetta Baldin - 9.5.2026

A 30th anniversary hometown performance by Shadows Fall is scheduled on 18 July in Springfield, Massachusetts, as per Lambgoat. Unearth and Within The Ruins will open for the seasoned metalcore group at MGM Springfield’s Aria Ballroom. Additionally, the date coincides with Springfield’s “Shadows Fall Day,” which Mayor Domenic J. Sarno declared last year. It is now the band’s only scheduled performance in 2026. After taking a break in 2015, Shadows Fall got back together in 2021 and have been working on their first new album since 2012.

Come celebrate 30 years of Shadows Fall with us on July 18th in Springfield MA at the MGM Aria Ballroom.

This is the only show we have booked for the year so do not miss out. We will be covering our 3 decades of metal madness in this setlist and can’t wait to party with our hometown crowd.

We will be joined by our Massachusetts metal brothers @unearthofficial and @withintheruinsofficial

Just a reminder, July 18th was declared “Shadows Fall Day” by the mayor of Springfield MA so come and celebrate this important holiday!

Founded in 1996, Shadows Fall is an American metalcore band based in Springfield, Massachusetts. For the most of their recording career, Shadows Fall has consisted of guitarists Jonathan Donais and Matt Bachand, bassist Paul Romanko, lead vocalist Brian Fair, and drummer Jason Bittner, despite a few lineup changes. Shadows Fall has put out two DVDs, three compilations, and seven CDs. Philip Labonte (of All That Remains) led vocals on the band’s debut record, but Fair quickly took his position. David Germain played drums on Shadows Fall’s first two studio albums, but Bittner became a full-time member in 2002. The band’s songs “What Drives the Week” and “Redemption” have earned them two Grammy Award nominations in the Best Metal Performance category.
