In a recent interview with Paltrocast, guitarist Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy/Black Star Riders is featured. An introduction claims that this in-depth discussion includes Scott’s recent health concern, his successful second career as an artist, his ambitions for future music, and even the proper way to pronounce Thin Lizzy – directly from the source. Additionally, Scott discusses his influences, his relationship with Huey Lewis, and his opinions on other bands adopting the renowned “twin guitar” sound that Thin Lizzy invented. He was asked if he has any musical projects in the works and if we would soon get to see him play guitar.

You know, it’s possible right now. I had a health issue scare about a year ago with a kidney that had to be removed and I got sepsis from it. And the second surgeon said I’d actually died on the operating table and all that (laughs). I was, like, ‘Really, man? What the hell is all that about?,’ you know. And he said… now I had a third operation, and he said, ‘You know, maybe you should take some time out and just kind of rehabilitate and all that, you know, get your strength back and all that.’ So that’s what I’m doing. And in the meantime, I’ve got the drawing to keep me occupied. So hopefully soon-ish down the road, I can get my buns back out on the road.
