The official music video and new single “Sadistic Love” by hard rock band Saliva are currently available on Judge & Jury Records, as per Blabbermouth. The dark, melancholic, guitar-heavy song “Sadistic Love” draws inspiration from the early 2000s sound that shaped Saliva’s reputation. Bobby Amaru’s strong, melodic vocals are paired with an irresistible hook in this song, which is built around a hefty mid-tempo rhythm and builds tension until exploding into an explosive chorus. The song’s lyrics examine love as a weapon and a lifeline, encapsulating the all too often experience of being stuck in a failing relationship that you can’t seem to let go of.
Some relationships become a battlefield. You fight, you break, you swear it’s over, and then somehow you’re right back in the middle of it again. ‘Sadistic Love’ is about being addicted to the very thing that hurts you. It’s about chaos disguised as passion and pain disguised as connection. Sometimes the scars become part of the attraction. It’s messy, it’s toxic, it’s real, and we wanted the song to feel exactly like that. – Bobby Amaru
Saliva’s fourth new song, “Sadistic Love,” keeps the band moving forward with their upcoming album, “Breaking Through,” which is scheduled to be released on August 14. This summer, Saliva will tour in addition to the new release. The group recently performed at prestigious rock festivals like Sonic Temple and Welcome To Rockville. As Saliva continues to release new songs and prepares for the release of “Breaking Through,” fans can anticipate more announcements in the upcoming weeks.

The American rock group Saliva was founded in 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee. Lead vocalist Josey Scott, lead guitarist Wayne Swinny, rhythm guitarist Chris D’Abaldo, bassist Dave Novotny, and drummer Paul Crosby made comprised their most well-known band, which performed from 2000 to 2005. Since Swinny’s death in 2023, the band’s lineup has changed several times, and no original members are still with the group. They have received one MTV Music Video Award and six Grammy nominations. Saliva signed with Island Records and released their second studio album, “Every Six Seconds”, which was their commercial breakthrough, following the release of their self-titled debut album in 1997.
