Finnish symphonic metal band Rose Heaven have released their second single “Tales For Us”. The track follows “Sailing Flame” and offers another preview of their second studio album, “The Tail Of Mystical Lights”, scheduled for February 5, 2027.
According to the band, the new song introduces a heavier and more progressive side of their sound. Its lyrical theme explores everyday life and the stories contained in each moment, whether joyful or difficult.
Rasmus explains that the band deliberately built the song around changes in atmosphere to reflect its theme. He notes that stories are not limited to books, films or music: everyone’s daily life is filled with them, even when their significance goes unnoticed.
The progressive elements were part of the concept before the songwriting began, Rasmus says. He adds that the upcoming record features plenty of riffs and that the band noticed early in rehearsals how much heavier the new material sounded compared with their debut.
Petros highlights the song’s variety, with riffs flowing into one another and frequent tempo changes. One of its heavier passages proved particularly demanding to perform, but became one of his favourite moments on the album.
Valtteri says the guitar solo took shape close to the recording sessions. Its melody developed from the vocal line after the expansive chorus, building tension before another heavy riff. Rasmus also reveals that Sandra explores new vocal approaches and Valtteri contributes vocals to the track.
Rose Heaven are working on “The Tail Of Mystical Lights” at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki. The album is planned for release in both stereo and Dolby Atmos formats, with further singles expected before its February 2027 arrival.
