Ronnie Radke vs. Europe: Falling In Reverse frontman sparks festival drama

Ronnie Radke, the singer of Falling In Reverse, is either trying to get some press or he is launching another round in his seemingly never-ending conflict with Austria. Earlier this week, the vocalist, who is always controversial, did not exactly win over Austrian fans. Many fans were angry when his multi-platinum alternative metal band’s scheduled November 26th gig at the Gasometer was abruptly canceled on the day of the performance. Additionally, it appears that some of those admirers expressed their disapproval of Ronnie publicly on the internet.

On the 26th, the Vienna performance and a follow-up stop in Prague on November 28th were canceled. Three performances of this same tour were canceled earlier this month, which may have contributed to the cancellation weariness. Canceled Falling In Reverse performances are not unique to this European tour and are somewhat common for the band in general. Some teething problems are to be expected, though, since the band has quickly developed into a headlining act with a more intricate stage presentation. In any case, some have even gone so far as to refer to the group as “Booking In Reverse.” The first three of the previously reported concert cancellations earlier this month were attributed to production problems. But there was no clear reason for the disastrous stopover at Vienna and Prague.

The continual questioning probably became frustrating because of the comparatively high number of cancelled events during this tour. However, the always vocal Radke got a little scorched earth during a livestreamed gaming session on November 26th. Radke got into a diatribe full of profanity when a fan in the discussion asked why the Vienna event was canceled.

Listen, you guys never understand what it’s like touring across the country, exhausted and tired. We didn’t cancel the show. Shut the f*ck up Wednesday. You can f*cking get the f*ck out of my stream. Shame on you for coming to my stream. You don’t know why. You guys are just f*cking fans. You don’t understand anything to do with it. You don’t understand why shows get canceled. Get fhe f*ck out of here, you f*cking c*nt. f*ck you… People don’t understand. You guys just get f*cking mad because you’re not you can’t see your favorite singer. You don’t understand what f*cking venues do. There’s a whole f*cking laundry list of things, of reasons why shows get canceled, guys. It’s not like ‘I don’t feel so good.’ Or even, even then. If someone doesn’t feel good, you guys still f*cking berate us. When somebody’s sick and they have to cancel, you guys still f*cking berate everyone. So go, f*ck yourself. f*ck you. I f*cking hate fans like that. You’re not a f*cking fan. You’re entitled, spoiled little f*cking brat. Go, f*ck off. f*ck you. ‘Wah! I didn’t get to see my f*cking favorite band play!’ You know what I mean? Like, that’s that’s how you sound. You just make the band members not like you. You understand? So stop being a spoiled little brat and f*cking [ya] gotta suck it up anyway. You guys don’t understand. You just don’t get it. You know what? Rest of the tour is canceled. I don’t feel like playing. This isn’t… I’m not Playboy Cardi, okay? We don’t… Not Axl Rose, we’re not doing that. You understand. There’s reasons. We have reasons to believe that Vienna fans are soft as shit. That’s the reason why we’re not playing. Just kidding. Anyway, I’m just kidding. I’m just joking about that. But hey, shows get canceled, man. Motherf*cker, Bad Omens canceled an entire Europe tour because his mental health. I don’t see any you guys f*cking getting mad at him. You understand? Go eat a f*cking Vienna sausage and shut the f*ck up.

On social media, Radke would employ the Vienna sausage insult multiple times more. It is still unknown whether the two are connected, however on November 27th, it was revealed that Falling In Reverse would not be performing at the “Nova Rock Festival” in Nickelsdorf, Austria, the following year. Some have conjectured that it is no accident that the band was taken off the bill the day after he made the remarks listed above. The yearly “Nova Rock” event draws a large crowd, and Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Electric Callboy are scheduled to play headliners over its four-day run the following year. Given that Falling In Reverse had only recently announced their participation in the festival on November 14th, their removal off the lineup was fairly sudden.

Radke seems to have publicly criticized the “Nova Rock Festival” in his Instagram stories, a few days after all the controversy. He shared the picture below on November 30th, directing it to the festival’s Instagram account.
