Danish metal band Raunchy are continuing their comeback with the release of a third single, “Darkest Self”. The song follows “Designed Despair” and “Frameworker”, which Raunchy dropped earlier this year.
“Prisoner” was produced by Jacob Hansen, who has helmed Raunchy records going back to their debut “Velvet Noise”. Alongside with producing he recorded, mixed, and mastered it at his own Hansen Studios. The record arrives August 14 and marks the band’s first full-length since 2014’s “Vices.Virtues.Visions.”. It also brings the band back to Mighty Music, the label that released their first two records before Raunchy moved on to Nuclear Blast, Lifeforce, and Massacre Records.
Drum tracking for the album began as far back as 2021. The current lineup features Mike Semesky and Jeppe Christensen on vocals, Jesper Andreas Tilsted on guitars and keys, Lars Christensen on guitars, Jesper Kvist on bass, and Morten Toft Hansen on drums. “Darkest Self” is out now on all major streaming platforms.
