Possessed singer Jeff Becerra walked with the help of science for the first time in over 30 years
Jeff Becerra, bassist and vocalist of Possessed, one of the pioneers of US death metal, was the victim of an armed robbery in 1989, which left him paralysed from the chest down. After his paralysis, Becerra fell into a years-long alcohol and drug cycle, but eventually overcame his problems and re-formed the band in 2007, which had split up in 1985.
Becerra has performed with the band in a wheelchair until now, but for the first time in more than 30 years, the singer has been able to take steps with the help of robotic legs.
