According to his children, Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell was buried this past Wednesday, May 13, after passing away on March 14 at the age of 64 due to complications after a difficult surgery, as per MetalInjection. Following their father’s death, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons — now known as Phil Campbell’s Bastard Sons — shared a picture of their father’s tribute on Instagram. Campbell was laid to rest in an undisclosed place in Wales.

Yesterday we laid our beloved Dad to rest. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone that was with us to celebrate his brilliant life. We will never tire of hearing stories about him and how he touched so many people. We will love him forever and share his legacy for many years to come.

Twelve European dates have been scheduled for Phil Campbell’s Bastard Sons this summer, including two as Judas Priest’s supporting act. Prior to his death in March, Phil Campbell, the guitarist for Motörhead, and his band, Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, were supposed to tour this year. Under the guise of Phil Campbell’s Bastard Sons, his sons and bandmates Dane, Todd, and Tyla will now perform a high-energy tribute to his work with Motörhead on stage to honour his legacy.
