Phil Anselmo praises Lemmy Kilmister in a recent interview: “He’s forever”
Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister is known as one of the most iconic figures in rock and heavy metal, and is still remembered with joy and love.
In a recent interview with Banger TV, Pantera singer Phil Anselmo recalls his first encounter with Motörhead, and expresses his admiration for Kilmister.
“The first thing that attracted me to Motörhead was Lemmy Kilmister and the sound of his voice. And then it was solidified… In 1985, I went to a show outside New Orleans, Louisiana, and it was Agnostic Front and Motörhead. It was a wall of crushing sound and they were just incredible; they sounded great. Lemmy was so long lasting and impressionable, man, on me. He’s forever, and I love him.”
