On social media, a video of the brand-new Parkway Drive stage act has gone viral, as reported from loudersound. The video, which was captured by Niflheim Records during the band’s performance at the Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany on Saturday night (September 20), has Parkway Drive singing “Crushed” in a situation that appears to have been lifted from a Rammstein performance. It’s difficult to know exactly where to look when performing on a stage that is entirely engulfed in flames and walls of fire are exploding everywhere. In the background, drummer Ben Gordon is gently spinning in his signature drum cage, while Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall is seen dangling high up on a suspended platform from which even more pyro is blasting out. There’s even more pyro on the cage itself.

As part of their 20th anniversary European tour, Parkway Drive is now cruising the mainland before spending three performances in the UK the following month. After a quick stopover in Japan for dates in Tokyo and Koto City, they head back to Europe, concluding with November 16 in Denmark. Those prior parallels to Rammstein are not coincidental when it comes to their amazing live performance; Parkway Drive began developing their own stagecraft after witnessing the German metal veterans at the 2013 Download Festival. Chaoszine recently met with lead singer and discussed with him 20 years of Parkway Drive.
