Orphan Donor releases new single “Vomit in the Cathedral of Nous”

US extreme metal band Orphan Donor has released a new single called “Vomit in the Cathedral of Nous”. The song is part of the band’s upcoming album, which continues the band’s signature style of combining grindcore, screamo, noise music and metal.

Led by Jared Stimpfl, the project started in the early 2010s and has evolved over the years from a solo project to a full band. The new track represents the band’s current collaborative soundscape, which is more structured than before but still extremely intense.

Band member Kevin Morris describes the forthcoming album as a commentary on humanity’s struggle to discover absolute truth. He says the album deals with the effects of technological and ideological manipulation and the collapse of traditional structures that have led to social anxiety and alienation.
