One more new Guns N’ Roses song to be relesed in October: “The General”

Hardrock giants Guns N’ Roses have just released a new single, “Perhaps“, via Geffen Records, as a simultaneous world premiere at U.S. rock radio. It is now available for pre-order as a limited-edition seven-inch vinyl, and it will include another new song “The General“. The seven-inch will ship out on October 26.

The new song “The General” was written during the sessions for the now infamous “Chinese Democracy” album, as was “Perhaps“. It was previously talked about by former Skid Row member Sebastian Bach, who told Metal Edge magazine in 2007:

One of my favorite songs is this song called ‘The General‘, which is so… it’s by far the heaviest metal tune I think I’ve ever heard Axl do, this slow, grinding riff with these high, piercing vocals, screaming vocals.

Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Bryan “Brain” Mantia reportedly wrote some of the song’s music and gave it its title.
