Author Benedetta Baldin - 4.12.2025

An officially sanctioned Pantera book from famed rock and metal photographer Ross Halfin is planned to debut this spring, as theprp reports. Titled ‘Pantera The Book‘. There will only be 666 numbered copies of that 300-page collection of portraits, and they will be packaged in an embossed slipcase in the shape of a diamond plate. All members of the renowned groove metal band’s iteration, including drummer Charlie Benante, guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist/singer Rex Brown, and vocalist Philip Anselmo, will also sign each copy. Pre-sales for the book will open today, December 04th at 03:00pm UK/10:00am EST, at rufuspublications.

Over the last few years Ross has had unrestricted access to the band on tour, backstage, days off and of course, playing killer shows. This new, fully authorised book captures the current lineup in all its glory and Ross has also delved into his extensive Pantera archive featuring stunning photographs of the original 4 including Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, to produce a unique and often never-before-seen look at one of world’s most legendary metal bands. This is Pantera in the raw.

A fully signed Pantera collectible book. This huge, A3 portrait coffee table book, with more than 300 pages, allows the images to breathe in a unique way and the edition comes in a distinctive, diamond plate style embossed slipcase. Only 666 numbered copies of the book are being made available and each copy is hand signed by Philip Anselmo, Charlie Benante, Rex Brown and Zakk Wylde.

Pantera is one of the most successful heavy metal bands of all time. The lineup of Phil Anselmo, Rex Brown, Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul recorded a series of ground breaking albums before the band’s 1994 album, Far Beyond Driven, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, pushing Pantera to sell more than twenty-five million albums worldwide! In 2022, Billboard reported that Brown and Anselmo were reuniting in 2023 for Pantera’s first major tour in 22 years. The updated lineup of Pantera played their first shows in 21 years in Latin America and have continued to tour the world.
