German progressive metal masters Obscurahave officially shifted into high gear with a double-pronged assault on the global metal scene. Ahead of their The Sun Eater Asia tour—which kicks off on May 1—the band has unleashed a brand-new music video for the track ‘The Sun Eater,‘ perfectly capturing the technical precision and atmosphere of their live show. “The Sun Eater” video has been produced by Obscura’s long term director Mirko Witzki (Arch Enemy, Powerwolf, Electric Callboy).

Building on this momentum, Obscura is proud to announce “Shred Fest 2027,” a massive headlining run set to tear through Europe and the UK. This monumental tour marks the band’s return to European soil with their most ambitious production to date, ensuring that 2027 will be a landmark year for progressive death metal.
