Northlane postpone the release of “Anemoia” album, reschedule part of their tour and release new single “Deathwish”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 21.10.2026

Australian metalcore band Northlane have delayed the release of their upcoming seventh studio album, “Anemoia”, and rescheduled their Australian and New Zealand headline tour. The band have also unveiled a new single, “Deathwish”.

“Anemoia” was originally scheduled to arrive on October 30, but its release has now been pushed back to November 27, 2026. The delay also affects the band’s planned Australian and New Zealand tour, which has been moved to May 2027.

The album news comes alongside the release of “Deathwish”, the latest preview of “Anemoia”. The track follows previously released singles “Evian”, “CUT_it” and “Crucified”, offering another glimpse of the direction the Melbourne band are taking on their forthcoming record.

“Anemoia” is the follow-up to 2022’s “Obsidian” and is set to be Northlane’s seventh full-length album. The band previously described the record as exploring the feeling of nostalgia for a time or place a person has never experienced, pairing their heavy sound with electronic and trance influences.

Northlane’s upcoming touring plans had originally included headline dates across Australia and New Zealand in November 2026. The rescheduled May 2027 run will give fans a new opportunity to catch the band performing material from “Anemoia” live.

AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM NORTHLANE REGARDING ANEMOIA, OUR AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND TOUR, MELBOURNE LISTENING PARTY AND OUR NEW SINGLE “DEATHWISH“.

Due to production delays, the release of Anemoia is moving to November 27, 2026.

Alongside the album delay, Josh has been dealing with significant, rapidly worsening chronic health issues over the past two years and now requires immediate intervention which will prevent him from travelling or performing. With his health and rehabilitation a priority, alongside the delayed release of the record, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule our Australia & New Zealand tour to May 2027.

All existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled May 2027 dates, which we’ll announce very soon.

Additionally, we have moved our Melbourne Listening Party to November 20. This means attendees will be the first in the world to hear ‘Anemoia‘ in full. All tickets remain valid.

These decisions have been incredibly tough to make. Delivering the full experience to you matters to us, and we don’t take decisions like this lightly. We recognise the impact these changes may have on those who’ve made plans around the original dates, and we appreciate gour patience and understanding.

To be clear, our UK/EU tour with Dayseeker later this year and our North American headline tour early next year will both go ahead as planned.

As a thank you for your continued support, we’re releasing our new single, “Deathwish,” ahead of schedule. It’s available to stream and watch now.
