Nightwish fans dream again as Marko and Floor perform two duets at Kuopiorock

Floor Jansen, the singer of Nightwish, performed two songs with Marko Hietala, the band’s previous bassist and vocalist, last Saturday, July 26 at the Kuopiorock event at Väinölänniemi in Kuopio, Finland. First, Floor performed a cover of “Left On Mars” from Hietala‘s 2025 solo album “Roses From The Deep” (originally sang by Tarja) during Marko‘s performance on the Matkus Stage. Shortly afterward, Marko paid it forward by joining Floor on the Kuopio250 Stage for a duet on a rendition of the main theme from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “The Phantom Of The Opera.” This song was originally covered by Nightwish for their 2002 album “Century Child” and had been performed live by the band innumerable times, even with original singer Tarja.
