The Swedish melodic hard rockers Nestor are one of those bands that have their own festival, namely the NestorFest in their hometown of Falköping. With artists such as Hardcore Superstar, The Night Flight Orchestra, Sator, The Gems and, of course, Nestor themselves, this year’s edition of NestorFest was even completely sold out. Nevertheless, Nestor have now surprisingly announced that the annual summer open-air festival will take a break in 2025:
“[…] The festivities in Folkets Park in Falköping will be skipped next summer. The reasons are many, but above all, Nestor as a band already has a very busy summer in particular and a hectic 2025 in general, which is great in itself. But believe us when we say that NestorFest will make a grand return in 2026! […] Thanks for everything so far, until we meet again…”

The case is somewhat reminiscent of the Sabaton Open Air in the Swedish city of Falun, which announced its indefinite hiatus after its “biggest and best” edition in 2022. Sabaton remained vague about the exact reasons for the hiatus, but concluded their statement with the promise that “this isn’t the last of Sabaton Open Air”.
