Legendary New York thrash metal outfit Anthrax is finally set to return with its long-awaited 12th studio album “Cursum Perficio”, arriving on September 18th via Nuclear Blast Records and Megaforce Records. Marking the band’s first full-length release in nearly a decade, the album follows 2016’s critically acclaimed “For All Kings” and sees Anthrax channeling the energy, aggression and experience accumulated throughout their remarkable 45-year career.
Speaking about the new record, the band has described “Cursum Perficio” as a culmination of everything Anthrax has learned throughout its journey. The album’s first single, “It’s For The Kids“, is a furious thrash metal anthem dedicated to the band’s loyal fanbase and a reminder of why the band remains one of the most influential names in heavy music.
When Anthrax performed at Mystic Festival in Gdańsk, Poland on June 4th, Chaoszine sat down with vocalist Joey Belladonna for a new episode of our “My Story As Metal Frontman” series. During the interview, Belladonna reflected on his earliest memories of discovering heavy metal, the singers who inspired him, developing his unique vocal style, surviving decades of touring, maintaining his voice throughout a legendary career, and his journey as the unmistakable voice of Anthrax.
