Cleveland, Ohio is home to the American heavy metal band Mushroomhead. The band, which was founded in 1993 in the Cleveland Warehouse District, is well-known for its avant-garde sound and costumes and masks that are reminiscent of horror movies, as well as its distinctive live performances, which are typically held in smaller locations. Steve “Skinny” Felton, the band’s water drummer, keyboardist, DJ, and visual designer, has been the only constant member of Mushroomhead since the group’s founding. Additional members include guitarists Dave “Gravy” Felton and Joe “Jenkins” Gaal, bassist/keyboardist Ryan “Dr. F” Farrell, drummer Aydin Kerr, water drummers Jordan Gannon and Simon Kanaris, and vocalists Steve Rauckhorst, Jackie LaPonza, and Scott “Strike” Beck. Waylon Reavis, Jason “J Mann” Popson, and Jeffrey Nothing have all performed vocally before.
