On October 27, Morbikon released a new song called “Ghoul Infested Mausoleum“, as reported by theprp. Phil “Landphil” Hall (Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse, etc.) and Mathias “Vreth” Lillmåns (Finntroll, …And Oceans) are among the members of that blackened death/thrash metal band. “‘Ghoul Infested Mausoleum‘ takes the technicality up a notch and grinds out some super-fast shredding along with the dark melodic attack,” Hall remarked of this new song. Tankcrimes will release their second album, “Lost Within The Astral Crypts,” on November 21. You can currently obtain a b-side from the endeavor, as the group has released a cover of “Gaping Grave Awaits” by Aura Noir through Decibel’s flex disc series.

Morbikon to me is an opportunity to explore new atmospheres and new realms of extreme metal. I wanted to fill it with memorable hooks and punishing moments. I am very happy with the result of these songs and hope everyone notices the amount of detail that has been added to every corner of the music. I also have to give Dave Witte a lot of credit for laying down amazing drum tracks that added so much to these songs. – Phil Hall
