Metallica is in the process of suing London-based insurance market Lloyd’s of London for damages from the band’s postponed 2020 tour dates. According to NBC Los Angeles Lloyd’s of London has refused to compensate the band for the monetary losses it has endured from having the tour postponed. The band had six tour dates for April of 2020 in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
The metal giant brought the action on Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court alleging breach of contract and seeking unspecified compensatory damages as well as a declaration of the rights and obligations of the parties.
A Lloyd’s of London has not commented on the matter.
