Metal singer Chris Chalmer from STESY creates a sensation on “The Voice of Germany”

Chris Chalmer, frontman of the Partycore band STESY, took the stage of “The Voice of Germany” by storm and not only surprised the audience, but also stunned the coaches with his Metal rendition of the 90s hit “Boomerang.” With his powerful performance, he made a massive impact and shook the entire venue. But that wasn’t the only highlight of the night: after his performance, Jasmin Wagner, also known as Blümchen, unexpectedly stepped on stage to sing a few lines from “Boomerang” again and personally congratulate Chris.

Chris was visibly moved and fought back tears: “I gotta admit, I have a bit of a tear in my eye right now.” In this emotional moment, Jasmin whispered something in his ear, and the two performed the iconic song “Nur geträumt” as an impromptu encore. The audience went wild, and even the coaches were so blown away by this high-energy performance that Tim Kamrad tried to buzz in—too late!

Samu Haber was the first to hit the buzzer in less than 25 seconds, and he ultimately beat out Mark Forster, who buzzed in 10 seconds later.

You know, a lot of crazy things happen in this studio. It was so cool. I want you on my team, I need you on my team, I want you in my team. I can’t live without Rock ‘n’ Roll in my life, I need you here. Samu Haber

Mark Forster, however, asked if Chris could also “sing,” to which Chris smirked and replied: “Do you want the honest answer? NO!” When Mark asked if Chris could imagine growling ballads, Chris replied: “I haven’t tried it yet, but what’s not now could become a thing in the future.” Mark laughed and said that he couldn’t help with growling, but he could teach him how to sing. Chris countered: “Then you teach me how to sing, and I’ll teach you how to growl.”

Samu interrupted: “The question is: will it be sad and normal with Mark, or are we going crazy in Team Samu? DO YOUR THING!” It was clear: Chris was going to Team Samu!
