Mat Carlson drops new single and video “El Nuevo Amanecer”
Argentinean rock artist Mat Carlson has shared a new song entitled “El Nuevo Amanecer“. Watch the Arda Films-directed official music video below.
The track mixes electronic beats with a rocking pre-chorus in the vein of Thirty Seconds To Mars and Nine Inch Nails, and an expansive chorus in which Carlson exclaims: “Miremos hacia el sol/ Vivamos por siempre su color” (“Let’s look at the sun /Let’s live forever in its colour“). Traces of Middle Eastern-influenced music emerge, bringing freshness and surprise to the track, at around 2:50.
The Rosario-born musician comments: “The song is about the degradation that is happening in the world: it’s basically about the 2030 agenda. Everything is being pushed so that we are increasingly into smartphones and there is less and less human interaction. They want to turn us into machines and lock us up in fifteen-minute cities. The chorus calls to return to the real things and connect with nature in a more primitive and authentic way“.
Mat Carlson is an Argentinian musician and composer with several albums to his credit. His music fuses sounds of Argentine music with elements of international bands such as Muse, Thirty Seconds To Mars, The Beatles, Radiohead Queen, Blink-182, Green Day and more.
