Mastodon’s Brent Hinds makes harsh comments about playing with Disturbed: “Fucking gay ass shit”

Mastodon’s Brent Hinds, who plays aggressive metal, recently visited The Jasta Show, hosted by Jamey Jasta. During the interview, Hinds was asked a number of questions about the band’s music and touring life.

When asked by Jasta if the band had already toured with all of their dream bands, Hinds replied that there are not many bands left that he would like to tour with. Instead, he said that he has had to tour with many bands he would rather not have toured with.

“No. I did a lot of tours I didn’t want to do though, like Disturbed and all that Mayhem stupid bullshit. All that fuckin’ gay ass shit. You gotta fuckin’ open up for Disturbed. You gotta play to people that like Disturbed.” 

Hinds’ comments are probably a reference to the 2008 Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival tour. At that event, Mastodon played with Disturbed, Slipknot and Dragonforce.
