Malevolence announce temporary lineup change

Author Benedetta Baldin - 27.6.2026

Alex Taylor, the singer of Malevolence, disclosed that he had to have emergency surgery this week, as per theprp. On June 26, the man posted a statement on social media that says the following.

Yo everyone,

First of all, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has checked in/ sent a nice message over the last 24 hours. They were all really appreciated!

I ended up having to have an emergency operation yesterday, and the good news is the operation went well and I’m being discharged today.

Unfortunately it does mean that I won’t be able to play the final shows of our summer tour as I’m told I need to rest up and heal.

MALEVOLENCE will still be playing these remaining shows! The lads have kindly agreed to step up and finish this tour without me and we will enlisting the help of some friends to make sure these shows are as sick as they can possibly be! As always the crowd is an integral part of any Malevolence performance so I’m counting on you lot to go down and set it the fuck off!

I’ll be back on my feet in no time, love to you all

Upcoming shows:

  • 06/28 Helsinki, FIN – Tuska Open Air
  • 07/02 Ferrara, ITA – Ferrara Summer Festival

They joined with Siege of Amida Records in June 2013. On November 23, 2013, the label published the band’s debut album, “Reign of Suffering”. Along with Napoleon and Kublai Khan, they accompanied Obey the Brave on their European headline tour from April 3 to May 2, 2014.
